Whilst looking at various 300's i have come across one that i may well have a look at.

When doing some research on the web i discovered that it belonged to someone registered on here.

So does anybody know this zx

Doh yeah more info would help lol

Add is herehttp://www.manorparkmotors.org.uk/used/nissan/300zx/300-zx-22-auto/luton/bedfordshire/15632060

Yeah had seen his profile but as you say not much on there.

Lee

Yes I remember him now his name was Len and I talked to him at JAE 2011 I was very impressed with his 300zx as it was in top drawer condition with a lovely red leather upgrade. If this Z is still in good condition then buy it and the price of £2995 is very good plus you will be able to talk him down in that price also. But yes I think it was a non turbo but a great Z back in 2011.

Thanks guy's,

Just the sort of response's i wanted :-)

I have enquired about the engine but hadn't heard back as yet.

It sounds like it's potentially a good zed.

However i am really after a turbo.

Thanks again Lee

Any pointers for how to spot a turbo one from an na without any pictures of the engine bay??

Lee

The lower part of the front bumper.

A turbo has 3 horizontal slits in it at either side for the SMIC.

Just be aware the bumpers are interchangeable. For example I have a TT bumper on my NA.

Zed #2: 1998 Midnight Purple 2+2 NA. (owned 2020 - now)

Zed #1: 1995 Blue Slicktop NA (2013-2015)

As with what Lexx said, also check the dash (pre 95 model year cars) as they'll have a boost gauge under the rev counter, externally the only difference on JDM models is the front bumper as all JDM NAs also had a rear spoiler. UK models were ALL Twin Turbo and 2+2.

It must be an NA engine as you would not have an non turbo front spoiler on a twin turbo Z

He means you wouldn't fit a non turbo front fascia to a tt, because it would block the intercoolers. Of corse if you had a fmic that would change things but hell the TT bumper is better looking, more aggressive.

... all JDM NAs also had a rear spoiler....

Really? Would you like to re-evaluate that statement before I get all nitpicky? (Don't mind me, FunkySi, I'm just jealous of your recent trip. Git. :D )

Ok, all JDM pre-98 NAs came with a rear spoiler! Haha

I was going to do a grid with all NA/TT LWB/SWB variants but thought of a better solution - just ask you next time it comes up :thumbup1:

I thought the rear spoiler was an option on the NA?

As Steve said, they were option-only on NA Z32s in the US.

Haha, fine by me. When Z God asks a minion, the minion has to be good!
