Dunno but it was to much before so this will fill it up nicely.before these there was a huge gap with the stretch 255 that were on there before.so the extra 20 mm width must also give some extra height in overall circumfrernce.

Nice, looks a lot better with some beefier tyres, what size did you go for in the end? Any arch rubbing on lock?

The 275 is 16mm bigger in diameter over the 255. A 2.5% increase

there is a bit of a clue in the pictures in post 1.!!!

So there is!

That will hit the inner arch when you hit a serious dip and rub.

Dont worry I am watching LOL

And I will right the picture for you!

Yes and cheers al.and yes they are the same profile. And yes as soon as there fitted of whitch will now be in three weeks.ill have her set up.again.as for rubbing or going over lumps.jesus i cant even get into my local supermarket and two garages in norwich.so once tyres on.shell be sent to apt racing where they have already said that if anything the front needs to sit a degree or two more up at the front so when hard braking the sits level.to stop oversteet and will help with the front clearence issue.like i said al .shes in good hands.shes getting the best treatment.

Strosek kits usually have a huge lip though, so be wary of rubbing and then cracking the arch

Dont want a big gap at the rear arch.so even if after set up if it rubs then itll be in a bodyshop for mods underneath.were theres a will theres a way.but i think itll be fine.watch this space.

If you want to close the gap between the top of the tyre and the arch, it's lowering you need. If you want the wheel to poke out mores out doesn't appear sunken, then it's offset you need to change.

Of corse the smaller the gap the more likely the wheel will hit the arch, known as rubbing. It might be fine day still but hitting a bump mid corner may be rather different.

FYI I ended up cuuting quite a bit off the "return" of the rear wheel arch as when I lowered the car it fouled on it. It does still require a bit more fettling. Good job the GRP is easy to cut back

Exactly itll be cut out and redone if need be.grp and me and a tin of resin can work wonders.itll be fine.

I got some 18s I'm refurbishing, thinking 245-45 18s?

Any advice or information would be great cheers

Nope - 45 is too high a profile for 18s mate..... Go 235/40/18 front and 265/35/18 rears for optimum looks/handling/tyre price and availability....!

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Depending on widths and offset

8.5 width, not sure the offset but they came off it with 225 45 18s stretched. I just figured logically 245 loses the stretch, but 235 40 on the front sounds ok, as for price well the cheapest fronts are half the price of the cheapest rears if I go with the 265
