Yup, one day ! Thats all I have had off this year !

 

Since Xmas, I have only taken one day off work. Easter Friday I took off, as we were off on the Monday.

 

So, 18 days off work, and away to here tomorrow morning ! 30th wedding Anniversary pressie for us, and a 25th wedding anniversary for the brother and sister in law !

 

Excited ? Aye, just a bit ! We were there two years ago and loved it !

 

Lets see what "Premium Class" on the Dreamliner is really like !!

Not a bad complaint I suppose ? Work is absolutely chocka !

Averageing 20 hours O/T a week, never work a Sunday though !! Have had my stats, ie, May days, Easter etc, but yeah, one day !

 

Daughter is coming home from China for a visit at Xmas, not seen her for nearly two years !!! Her Korean partner is also coming,

so no more days off upon my return until December !! Its all good tho ! :chinese:

I'm flying Dreamliner to the US next month. I took one of BA's new A380 super jumbos over to Los Angeles a few months ago (premium) after they finally pensioned off their creaky old 747s. The A380 has to be the quietest aircraft I've ever flow in, I was blown away by how smooth and almost non-existant the noise level was compared to even an A340. Only downfall with the BA A380s was that they didn't go for the optional tailfin and belly mounted cameras like Singapore Airlines and others went for.

 

It's not the most attractive aircraft in the world, but damn, was it impressive! Interesting to see what the 787 is like!

Or left rotting out on runways. There's one sat out at Heathrow and one sat on its own at the end of (the now decomissioned) runway at Filton (Bristol), where most of the Concorde developments and test flights were carried out from in the 60s. Most aviation enthusiasts would consider Filton as being the spiritual home of Concorde. It's cool having one only a 10 minute drive from my house, but sad seeing it sat there rotting away like a discarded toy.

It was way ahead of its time JP. Richard Branson should of bought them :biggrin:

He should have done, but he'd not have been able to service them as BAE systems were winding down support for the programme.
