though not keen on his whole these cars are only suited to those young at heart or mid life crisis ...

Bloody Cheek, They're a lot better than some modern cars ......

This car was for sale by a Trader in Wakefield a few months back. I went to view and test drove it.

The body work while rust and rot free was very battered and scratched up. Mechanically seemed ok, but the auto box was hiding something, might be minor, but was very lazy a sluggish with its shifts and blunted the cars performance. I have driven a good auto Z so can compare. The engine bay was very scruffy & very dirty with obvious nuts and bolts missing from such things a coils pack brackets and the like.

It would appear someone as bought it and spent money on the cosmetics, but then why sell it on??

Overall, it wasn't a bad car, but I didn't buy it and that was with the Trader knocking money off without any haggling!

This is NOT a 2 previous owner car though, I did a Irish HPI on it. The new buyer will be number 6, the Chairman on Nissan Ireland a distant memory! Still not many for an old car.

People are such liars, a little caution required! I will send him a message regarding the number of owners, bet he doesn't change the ad.

No reply so far. I'm not expecting one TBH.

Mileage wise it was hard to tell. All the Irish paperwork seemed correct and the mileage was verified with this, that said it is so easy to clock these cars, or just disconnect the odometer section between tests - who knows!

Why spend loads of money on paint, wheels, double din stereos etc. then sell up a couple of months later? The state of the engine bay at the time certainly looked more 237k than 37k, but other things seemed like it could have been just 37k.

The bodywork was really unloved though which would suggest the rest will have been too...

Its a shame when there unloved I still have remains of my crashed tt on drive and all down passenger side still looks mint nice and shiny its only when you walk round it you realise the devastation but i mean its been sat out through the storms we had etc not protected and bodywork where not damaged is still mint it must take some real neglect to get to the point i've seen some in, could have spent coin on it then realised chassis is damaged and just tryin to get shut I see someone on here has a running thread on this its amazing the state some people are willing to sell cars in and dangerous states too.

Came up before, here is the thread:

Yup - I also remembered Gary posting this up before.....

.....Looks tidy from the pictures; but as some of you have seen the car in the metal, it's always good to hear the real dirt; so to speak... Also it looks like there are cheapo tyres on the front too - that does not sit well with me; as it shows someone has skimped on a major safety factor.

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
