Veilside evolution exhaust for 2+2.........

Hi, if anyone has one for sale or spare sitting gathering dust or even anyone know of one for sale.......?????

Finally had enough of my exhaust filling the car with fumes as tail pipes were made too short......

Made my 2 boys feel sick on way home from Beaulieu last week........ alright till windows open then it draws in through rear of car....

Looked at a few exhausts and wanted the HKS, but not available for a 2+2......

Now set on the veilside, but can't find any for sale........ I would even consider just the back boxes!!!!!!

Cheers....

Russ

Ive been asking for a few months mate and heard zip. They are a rare beast and i guess all that have them love em and wont part with them.

there was 1 for sale in Japan, catback only. Will try to find the link. They aren't cheap however, but well worth it

Freight is what kills it, at least to Australia. They cant be sent via EMS sea, as they exceed size restrictions. Unfortunately, downside of a well constructed SS exhaust is the weight, and at close to 40kg for a catback, you pay a hefty fee.

The seller, Croooober, has a facebook page, so I think you can buy directly through him, rather than an import agent in Japan, as you would with yahoo auctions

It's not quite what you want but just found a hks super dragger just down the road from you in wickford......

EBay number....201146974842

Is that the full Veilside Evolution setup, a catback system or does it normally include downpipes?

Was also wondering does the resonated H-Pipe substitute sound for a bit of a performance knock?

I was looking at a few vids a while back and they sound so nice!!!

The Veilside system is from the cats back which include the H-pipe. This is my system (excuse the quality - I took it about 7 years ago).... they have a beautifully refined and deep burble to them, but are quite audible. Absolutely NO drone what-so-ever. It does all the right things at all the right times. Great on a long distance cruise and a beautiful noise on a spirited drive.

Full systems include front pipes as well, with another pair of resonators the same as used in the centre resonated H-pipe... so no room for catalytic converters. Full systems are very hard to find, I only managed to grab 1 out of the 5 systems I imported from Japan over the years.

The catback system will bolt to your stock OEM catalytic converters (provided your system from the cats forward hasn't been tampered with). Being a twin 3" system, it will foul on the rear heatshield, requiring a 5min trim job with a pair of tin snips, while still retaining ample protection for the tailshaft centre bearing. Except for that, they are a beautifully constructed and fitting system, perfectly lining up with the OEM hanger points.

The sound is something else, still have 1 fitted to 1 of my other TT's. A nice burble on idle and quite sedate when driving, but when you hit the loud pedal a bit, the transformation is mind blowing. No resonation back-firing at all thru the system.

On an NA however, I don't recommend it..... it lasted about 2 days on my NA slicktop before removing.

How complex is it to import direct from japan like that? I assume it's a great way to get bargains and rare items?

as mentioned above, the seller of this system has a facebook page, so think you can deal direct with him.

Issue with buying from Japan is that you need a Japanese bank account to create a Yahoo Auctions account. I personally go through an import agent, Jesse Streeter. He's an Australian living and working in Japan, who has made a business out of buying, packaging and then sending yahoo auction items around the world. He charges 10% commission with a minimum amount for lower purchases, but his rates are far less than those charged by other reputable Australian import agents. Have bought tens of thousands of $$ worth of 300zx parts thru him, all of which arrived well packaged. As the buyer however, you assume responsibility for the condition of the parts- jesse doesn't do any pre-purchase inspections. I'm sure there's a high possibility that there is somebody in the UK doing the same.

This is what I did. I've bought stuff from Z32-zone and Japanese Yahoo Auctions and used an agent in California. He gets stuff shipped to a local address within Japan and then has it onward shipped to the UK. His fees weren't bad either, I think maybe 10%.

There's people over here doing exactly the same thing.

I remember having one of these in my garage for ages
