So with a potentially mega meet at Coventry I thought i might look back to the last time the club excelled itself??

So.... indulging in a little bit of reminising...

Were you there??

Have you still got the car??

Etc Etc.

There are a large number of historical threads about the Ferrybridge meet.

Here is one.........................

It was an unlikely setting but it seemed to catch the hearts and minds of a lot of members at the time.

Feel the love!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And I'm still gonna smack him if I ever see him. Arsehole.

Anyway, I was there, loved it and still think it was the best meet I've been too. Sadly I have a new zed now.

Wow thats a lot of Z's Great thread Pete and 50 plus Z's meeting up 8 years ago was a great achievement  But now with less Z's on the road it will be awesome to beat that at Coventry. :hyper:

The Coventry meet will be unique too in its own way. We will never have another 25th birthday!!

There is no real suggestion on my part of one or other being "better"

What was interesting about the Ferrybridge meet and subsequent mega convoy to "Escape" was how it just grew from an idea.

For those newer members ...who wernt around then do a "Ferrybridge" search. There are a lot of threads and vids still available.

Agreed - except I wasn't there myself...

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

And given that there has been a little outbreak of "dissent" etc recently its just a timely reminder that most of the members are happy most of the time.

Just noticed I'm in a couple of them pictures. I have all the ferrybridge pictures on my ipad :-)

That was the first ever Zed meet I ever attended and the first person i spoke to? Slick Pete

Was a cracking day and i did put together some video footage of that day and others for the JAE promotional screen but unfortunately that was lost long ago online :(

I wonder how many of the zeds at that meet will be at Coventry, and how many of them have been broken since.

Well you could do a poll????

Or a survey on the day??

I fear there wont be many.

Only my JIB reg remains.

I sold the red slicktop a long time ago. The next owner(from Coleshill area) used it for a good few years

but I think it may have gone now

I plan on getting a historical record of the cars that attend.

I've got the majority of it already.

Whilst I am not planning on Coventry becoming an annual thing, I do intend to do something similar every 2 years.

It was 8 years since Ferrybridge, and I don't want to leave it another 8 years till the next big one :)

Zed #2: 1998 Midnight Purple 2+2 NA. (owned 2020 - now)

Zed #1: 1995 Blue Slicktop NA (2013-2015)

I was in Germany then so missed it. I've still got the same car:)

Looks like the 25th could have something on the lines of ferrybridge or even beat it in terms of number of zeds in one gathering...that would be very cool:thumbup1:
