Short cut of pictures from damage to fix below, this year has been a back to back sill welding marathon, this is an area that ALL owners need to check very thoroughly now, the one in the pics had side sills fitted and he was blissfully unaware until an eagle eye MOT tester looked down the end, lucky they were not blended in so a few self tapers later were off to reveal all, the other side was as bad and also inside the floor by the seat belt fixing!!

It's a good job you stayed Around then jeff otherwise there would be a fair few less zeds on the roads by now.

So glad my Z has absolutely no rust! Rear quarter panels off and theres not a hint of it inside (where it would start).

Mine will rot eventually, there is some surface there being picky but the inside is clean (I've checked) I filled it with some paint while I was there. I plan to get it properly protected, my sill and chassis rails need re under sealing from bad jacking.

looks a nice repair job that. very good. I did mine not so long ago. its a lot of work and felting that goes it to sil jobs

Had to do some welding on mine too, it's been a long time since I last did some welding on cars, bought myself a nice little mig welder and it came out pretty good.No rust on the inner sill just the sill and the inner skill which were easy to make, I got some 0.9 zintec sheet steel off Ebay which was easy to shape and cut.

For someone who hasn't welded for a while, that looks a pretty neat job. Well done!

Welding is a bit like riding a bike, I did a couple of practice runs on some off cuts to set the amps and feed and I was away.

Thanks for the complement,
