Should 95 jap import be bronze tint?

Would you fit a secondhand screen? Yes I have fully comp. With windscreen cover, but the insurance is just 3 days old. Thank you in advance

I dropped a line to Pilkington to see what they supply (as I am most likely going to take screen out to sort a bit of rust that is coming up at a spot around screen atthe end of season - and then consider to change screen).

 

What they reverted back to me was that the following is available for the Z32 (price is what they quoted me a few days ago and is excl VAT and for pickup at one of their depots - delivery for additional charge).

Those are merely list prices. I have never heard of lead times on Z32 Blue glass before. Places like National Windscreens do have stock and also will supply fitted substantially cheaper than the pricing indicated by Pilkington.

I rang National in Newry, great, windscreen not in stock, but I am booked in for supply and fit next thurs. at 12pm for a price of 225 sterling

I will get a receipt and try claim from my insurance.

Simon they have said its blue with darker blue at the top? Is this correct? And how do you check colour, and thank you so much for the link.

Put some blank paper behind the glass. It will show it's colour as either blue or bronze.

I just got a quote from a local company for just short of £187 to supply and fit (blue tint and darker blue sun strip tint - UK spec).

just to finish off this story, I could not go up the thurs. I had booked originally due to the leak situation so I re-booked for last wed. I rang them at 8am(call centre) before I left Dublin, all ok. I get there to depot, 1 hour drive, no windscreen, I go mental, say I am going to charge them petrol and expense, nice manager tells me the screen is still in the UK, they thought they had one in stock in Belfast gave me the price of £225, then couldn't find it, so had to get one from over there which should have been more expensive, I left the car with him overnight and he knocked £50 off the price. all good, and yes funkysi was right its a Pilkington screen. thanks to all as usual for the advice.
