Hi I have just managed to sort my brakes today but after close inspection I have a few dodgy pistons managed to free up working now. OK so not made of money and I am a firm believer that if the stock calipers working properly coupled with good discs pads should stop well going to get rebuild kit for all calipers but stuck on discs and pads

Been looking at full set grooved discs with mintex m144 racing pads anyone tried these ?

What you all got and how do you find there performance ? And any suggestions ?

And don't say big brake kit unless your paying

For road use, rebuilt callipers, braided lines and some good quality solid discs and good quality pads are fine. Brembo discs and pads in the stock sizes are available and reasonable, couldn't tell you what discs I have the pads are pattern ones, my brakes work pretty damn well.

For even mild track use, an upgrade is inevitable.

I went for R33 gtst brakes, can pick up good condition stuff for under 150 quid and they are larger by 20mm and lighter as they use a good quality alloy in those castings

I have standard brakes, refurbed, slotted and drilled discs with mintex pads, as long as you keep an eye on the pads up to the first year with them on or you might end up with the disc wearing and creating a lip, like mine recently :whistling: generally happy with the brakes :thumbup1:

R33 I meant

Nissan gtr r33 brembos with 334mm disc and pad .good second hand compleat and in good condition .direct bolt on replacment. Around the 300. Mark. Cheaper if u keep eye open

150 quid is for the complete shebang, calipers, discs and pads.

The GTR stuff is preferable but harder to get a hold of
