Came across some new wiper blades - not very exciting thread....

For ages now, I've been wanting to 'upgrade' as it were to the wiper blades as seen on cars like the Lexus IS250 etc....

...like this (this isn't mine by the way - not with that wiper arm fitment and tatty scuttle panel! haha

I have NEVER liked the Bosch aero wiper blades - that great big knuckle screams 'universal' and isn't what I would call 'sleek and inkeeping'.

Well, for those of you that are also as anal as me (probably not too many of you) and want something a little more 'OEM-esque', I came across these. They're called 'hybrid wipers'.

They have the cover on them making them look a little more modern than the old frame-style wipers, they're sleek and don't have that great big knuckle in the middle of them! They are half the price of the Lexus ones and look almost the same!

Just ordering some 21" jobbies for the front of my Z.

Yes I like them and as my Z does not be out in the rain much they should last me for many years lol.

Have you been taking pics of my car again?

Will be good to see how those blades preform

That's uncanny as about 10 years ago I got some multi random coloured washer jets for the MX5 - perhaps I shouldn't of said that !!! We still have the car sorned on the drive and they're still fit as they're chrome but not connected up.

My wipers on the 32 are still the ones that were on the car when I got it......PIAA Formula Aero Wing, washers jets are stock btw !!

Thanks for posting this thread. About time some nice universal wipers became available, shall be ordering two for my dc5 after i measure them.

Got mine yesterday and very impressed with them. Fitted them this morning after I figured out how they went on then noticed one was the wrong way around lol as they have a slopey side which goes to the front.

I bought some silicone refills for my PIAA wipers that were on the car when i got it 6 years ago but i wasn't happy when i came to fiddle and fit, so i re read this thread again and bought 3 from the far east.

Only £10.08 for 3 x 20 inch delivered and i love them, should of done it ages ago :). Fyi mine came with the hook connector on 'wrong' but it flicks out easy enough for a 180 turn.

My bonnet flew up in the wind and smashed the L/H wiper :censored:.

Bought some more, this time 21 inch, on the pick you can see the sweep.

I relegated the 'old' 20 inch R/H to the rear, which it looks up to a 24 inch will fit just fine.

£7.60 the pair I paid but they seem to be £9.50 when i look just now.

How have these wipers lasted guys?

Mine still work fine, although they don't do a great deal above 80 mph....
