We have one over on 3ZC Graham and it works quite well. It's a vendor/seller comments sections for good and bad experiences. The bad ones often get responses from the person in question and quite often get resolved. Those that don't, well, the seller is then ejected.

Sounds like a good idea to me. But probably no surprise to you graham

Lol, no surprise at all, but naming and shaming in an already small community could be more detrimental than good.

It is frustrating when you pay money promptly for parts then have to wait an age for them to turn up, or receive parts as not described, if at all. There can only be so many excuses made, before its taking the piss.

There was a feedback system in our last sales template, that has now changed to simplify the process, will look into getting it added on. Then its down to the affected member to make comment to show others who to avoid dealing with.

I will post over in policy to gauge feeling on a name and shame and maybe a public vote.

not just parts but garages that's do bad work on your car. but cus they are paying a fee to use the club you cant say anything about it and when you do nothing is done about it !

We only have one garage endorsed by the club and if there is a problem all the contact details are available to you to get an issue resolved.

This thread is aimed at parts bought from members and either not as described or not received, official traders are a different story and all we can do is mediate or create contact to try and resolve an issue.

Naming and shaming is one thing, but a user/buyer/customer feedback facility is slightly different but I think a much better concept. It works and is pretty much self regulating. It might also be useful to have a facility for the seller/provider of service to leave f/back too. (this can have drawbacks too though)

Trader/seller feedback rated out of 5 stars or a % similar to ebay would be fine?

Yup.

This is what we do, something similar:

Within the profile, on any page/thread, you can see the user's rating. If you click on that rating, then it takes you to their history as you would on ebay. Thus -

We use it to monitor who is and is not a muppet in the classifieds and will remove them if necessary.

We then have a subforum where members can either sing praises or vent their frustrations. Usually, we ask they come through us first before posting, but sometimes they don't and their own thread can sometimes bite them in the ass.

These things are only any good, of course, when people can be bothered to leave any sort of feedback. I tend to leave feedback when I have dealings with anyone on here but very rarely seem to have that reciprocated.
