Hi all,

Is there anywhere else apart from the zcentre that can supply a 99 spec bumper?

I'm searching but not finding anything in the UK.

Thanks Dan

I can get you one ( as can any dealer), but would be a month from Nissan Japan, 62022-vp125 from a local dealer.

Not considered a fibreglass one from car.mad

Sorry I've already asked mjp I forgot to mention that.

Ideally want to stay away from fibre glass this time. No offense to car.mad products as they are spot on.

All around the £400+vat mark.

I bought mine from zcentre,

But remember Then u got the corner lights, and I bought some audi style plastic mesh but it looks pants so I want the original mesh. probably looking another 200 on top for corner lights and the mesh...

Bloody expensive for a bit of stupid plastic lol...

Have you investigated importing one for yanky doodle land, probably still work out cheaper with the lights etc.

I'm sure if someone got a dozen of these with lights, into the uk they could make a little profit. Such a desirable part, commonly available, cheaper than the 89 one from Nissan iirc and we can't get them for a reasonable price. To buy the bumper and lights from zcentre is over £550 before you've even paid postage...or for the grill.

Fitted, I wouldn't be surprised if the complete price was over a grand! That's just ridiculous.

I just added it up, from czp the cost of the bumper with all the extras, lights foams supports etc is cheaper than the pre tax price of the bare bumper from zcentre! I know there's tax and post but come on?

I can do you a 99 spec front bumper with new indicator lights for £482 if your interested plus £25.00 postage and packing

I have bought it all exept the grill from zcentre and its stupid money, luke was saying that there's problems in america getting one side corner light...months waiting...

They have ordered a few from him to be shipped to America.

My boss has an audi tt he took the original bumpers off and I said he should ebay them we looked on ebay and pattern bumpers new are around 100quid, and there was audi original for 129quid,

The dealer mark up is the issue here( Nissan) if you stripped away their 30% it makes for much nicer deal, we had a tame dealer many several years ago who was happy with 5% and we could get them for around £240 + £60 for the indicators, they have now become just greedy, Genuine Nissan rear shocks were £30 and now more than £120 !!!!

I have already been looking at the czp site before looking to buy in the UK. I'm after other bits from the states so I may make an inquiry and see if it's any cheaper. Cheers

Enlightening jeff. So I would assume the likes of z1 and CPZ are buying these oem items from Nissan?

Very likely and in larger amounts than here, trouble is like many trades there is a closed price disclosure that effects the final retail cost, there are overheads to cover, but I know, and so does any other long term Nissan trader here in the UK they have a schedules discount scale A to G and within those groups all of the saleable items are placed according to "possible " discount, by that its a maximum discount applicable, the dealer has flexibility to beat another dealer in real terms provided they stay within the guideline discounts. As we have traded for over 14 years we have had access to these codes years ago, but finding a dealer willing to move on them is very dependant upon the amount of commerce you do with them and how much their general manager will allow.

As an example the humble standard clutch unit from Nissan was at one time around £310+ vat over the counter to joe public, however if pushed they would give 5% to make you feel good, but the discount code clutch`s fall in to is one that gave up to 65% discount so far from giving you 5% they were raping you for 60% !! as I said overheads have to be met and profit made but my gut feeling is Nissan is doing very well out of over charging for 300zx spare parts and so are some traders who have a "special" deal with their dealer.

Sorry to of gone off the OP subject.

There's still some reasonable dealers lol,

Although nissan themselves do charge us dealers more for them now, the big mark up is still there, so advice is to haggle, lol

(I'm not allowed to trade on here before anyone asks)

To be truthful you don't need all that really mate to put a 99 spec bumper on to your car. If you want to go down that route then you would even need a different under tray adding more to the cost but like most things you improvise. You can use the foam from your old bumper buy some plastic mesh for £20.00 leaving you only needing the lights and the main bumper

You certainly DONT want to buy that Nissan mesh.

Bob made that mistake.. two years after fitting it was rusty... and Bobs car never goes anywhere.

I replaced it with some powder coated ally mesh from Poland

exactly Chris.

Bumper + lights... job done.
