So its finally happening after been off the road for well over a year the zed is on Target for its refurbishment.

Last year I started with doing all the underbody suspension stuff to make the ride more stable and after that

I decided I wanted to do a full strip down to the bare shell and start from scratch to create a show quality z32.

After much bad luck and many thousands of pounds wasted on rotted zeds i'm cracking on with the original plan.

So as a quick update i'll post some older picks followed over the next few weeks by an overall progress report.

Starting off with how she was when I first purchased her 3 years ago until the state she is now then showing the

strip down and all the bad luck I've had.

So here she is as I bought her :

PS. Should have mentioned the bolsters been in bad condition as likely would have ordered new foam too.

I didn't know myself until I stripped the covers off yesterday, Lee.

Glad you like what you're seeing so far :thumbup1:

And that's the rear seats all completed now, with a day to spare as well!

I'll post some pictures tomorrow :)

Shortie ones are considerably shorter than the 2+2 ones, Lee. Shorter than the ones you have there.

Is the little flap that sits over the end of the moulding missing? I can't see it in your picture. I think it's part of the quarter window rubber...

Correctamondo (lol)! Your quarter glass is missing the wrap round prt of the rubber seal. Most of the windows that have the trim piece removed suffer from this as they rarely come off without damaging the rubber in some way.

Those mouldings are too long to fit a SWB. If they're the Kumura replicas (like I got from Z1), it could be that they're not quite long enough, but I'd have expected that flap to cover the shortfall (if it was present).

Rear seats. More work than they might first appear!

Some are taken with the flash (cos it's pitch black here!) and some just with the light on.

All together, I think they look pretty snazzy and should look great in Lee's Zed!

Bet you're excited to get that interior back and fitted:dance:

I'm excited to see it out of the living room... but not as excited about that as Fran is!

I was talking to Lee !! :tt2: Still I suppose you're correct also Si:thumbup1::lol:
