So its finally happening after been off the road for well over a year the zed is on Target for its refurbishment.

Last year I started with doing all the underbody suspension stuff to make the ride more stable and after that

I decided I wanted to do a full strip down to the bare shell and start from scratch to create a show quality z32.

After much bad luck and many thousands of pounds wasted on rotted zeds i'm cracking on with the original plan.

So as a quick update i'll post some older picks followed over the next few weeks by an overall progress report.

Starting off with how she was when I first purchased her 3 years ago until the state she is now then showing the

strip down and all the bad luck I've had.

So here she is as I bought her :

Got a few hours in the workshop tomorrow so will get some more pics then !

what clutch did you go with then ?

Sod JAE don't rush or half arse things after all your hard work to get to a field, I'm sure you want to take it but there is always next year. You could always go in your daily if you want to see people etc.

do you know anyone with this clutch is it a on of style clutch, am looking at a comp clutch at the mo stage 2 I cant make my mind up really don't want a on off type

how long you had that did you have to break it in for 300 miles how does it feel is it on off

Got a few more hours in the garage again today and managed to fit all my japspeed stuff

New downpipes were a bugger to fit and I shredded my hands a few times tightening bolts.

The japspeed system all in wasn't the easiest of jobs to be done and I certainly couldn't have done it without the

post lift or the gearbox stand to push it slowly into place.

Nice work. Surprised you didn't have the stonechip effect smoothed off of the rear bumper though....

Had a full day in the garage again today and today it seems I got loads done.

Starting off I managed to fit the new gearbox / alternator loom which was a bitch to fit.

Why is it jobs like these have missed opportunities that would have made the job a whole lot easier when the engine was out.

Next I fitted the new scuttle panel which looks rather swish !

Also fitted new rocker gaskets and sealed the outer ones with sealant.

Managed to loose the rubbers and bolts for the pas pot so used some temporary bolts to get it into place too.

Wanted to get this for JAE but too many wee tasks needing done that i'm not rushing anything,

That and I have a few window glasses missing.

The zed has still to have a full wet polish but wait to you see these pics of it outside when it was loaded onto the trailer.
