I'm off into deepest Essex in the morning to pick up my new toy.....

It's a little over a year old, has plenty of kit like COMAND Online navigation, cameras which can read the road signs and display the speed limit on the dash, a Harman Kardon surround sound system with 11 speakers and 400 watts.... Oh and a nice 3.5 litre V6 with 306bhp along with the AMG Evolution Sport pack.

.......The Zed is still irreplaceable though - I've been using it a lot over the last couple of weeks and it still makes me gasp when I appreciate just how "right" Nissan got it 25 years ago....

Out with the new, in with the newer! Whereabouts in Essex Richard?

MB Southend mate - Julia is dropping me at the local railway station early tomorrow morning:wink:

Cheers Greg - And I love the CLS too. If I needed a bigger car, it would without doubt be a CLS....... 350 CDi diesel is probably the practical choice but I'd still have to think about selling a kidney to buy the AMG63

LOL - I took it that way matey.... And you're almost right about the C63 Jim - if it wasn't about to be replaced by a smaller capacity V8 twin turbo, I'd surely think about the mighty 6.3 litre V8 hooligan-mobile!!! Just as I did with the SLK55 AMG - until I came over a bit more sensible regarding the running costs for a daily driver....

Cheers Ted - me too mate... But I reckon the red seatbelts are a bit OTT - if I was buying new, I'd have deleted that option. But hey, I'm saving over £10k by having someone else suffer the first year's depreciation; so I'll learn to live with them....

easy tiger , of course.

Four year! God time does fly. I've got a bit of liking for the C63 AMG myself, the sound is immense. All the joys of a yank tank with the practically of a German for daily life. Il have to stick with the caddy for the time being lol.

I like all the gadgets and very nice toy, i have always liked the sl500, got to be a v8 for me but with kids got to be more seats lol, so the cls is the next best

Nice motor Rich I,am a big fan of all merc's,drove quite a few of them, big fan of the 6.3 AMG,S,my daily drive is a 535 motor sport fantastic car, but need to change it now not sure what for? Another BMW,Merc,or wait for it nissan gtr :) ?????

Very nice Richard, the 350 does fly along!

I do love the new SLK, just drives so well, inside feels just right. Almost good enough not to want an SL. But I still do LOL! :D

Tis indeed Steve! The salesman collected me from the train station in one (white with red leather) and I have to say it was awesome...

As they say over here Rich "Health to enjoy" mate its a real beauty  German engineering at its best.

Cheers Gary:thumbup:

I know what you mean Graham - I was tempted by a V8, hence started looking at the 55AMG. But as a daily driver (and since I have to pay for my own fuel now) I stuck with the 350 - I'd certainly have the CLS myself if I needed something more practical....

Cheers Paul - and you're dead right mate (you'd know of course:wink:); I loved my last one but I am seriously impressed by how much MB has improved things with the R172! I also have to give MB Southend top marks as a dealership; great customer service and a pleasure to buy from....

And even though the car was beautifully prepared, I still had to give it my own touch..... So as it was nice and sunny yesterday, I brought out the waxes and sealants and set to work:biggrin:
