Some of you may know I have an FB page documenting my progress, but since a few don't have/want FB, I'm going to start uploading pics here too as I get time.

As I've said before, not competing this year, time is being focussed on family and home projects, both of which I largely ignored last year! I also enjoy modifying and developing the car as much as driving it, so can tinker away at it through the year, so don't expect fast progress.

Open for discussion, criticism etc :)

Thought there might be you know what your upto. Is there going to be some ducting to push the rad heat out the "centre pannel"? I'm guessing yes lol.

It will be a fully sealed/ducted setup to manage the airflow and have any hope of working.

Thanks Andrew, yes it was from snetterton 2012. I had an oil line fail and replaced, so the smoke was oil burning off - bit worrying at the time though.

Using Z1 TBs, they are being refreshed too

that's pretty much the final size, it's big! No need for undertrays with that, it goes to the front subframe. I will make another with the tiniest of lips which will act as a single undertray / road friendly splitter.

I need to make the end plates for this extreme splitter and finalise the mounts for it, it will be hard mounted to the chassis rails

Look forward to it. Under tray is on my list, need more ground clearance first, too much exhaust hanging down all over the shop.

Where will you fit the subs wth the rear-mounted rad in the way?

I don't think you've thought this one through, captain.

That's an issue close to everyone's heart Noel, I think he has a complex plan to hang speakers off the roll cage like a rock concert audio set up, alternatively he has also thought about purchasing an iPod which seems at current to save weight and money, it's just his race overals are a bit tight for it to fit in his pocket, may have to settle for an iPod shuffle.

Are you suggesting I've put on weight! harrumph!

Heh heh, I never said that...we all know these clothes have a habit of shirking though, and Christmas, a time of much washing is coming captain Morgan.

NA subframe removed from storage where it's been sat for the last 18months!

IMAG1684_zps9asuabpf.jpg

Subframe has now been fitted to the car, doing it piecemeal and assembling on the car - figured it would be nigh on impossible to mount fully loaded on a gravel driveway.

Jim has also used his contacts to modify a quaife diff to fit the NA R200 diff, another part that's been sat for a year waiting to be fitted

Great minds think alike there, the diff is by far the heaviest part as you already by no doubt know.

yes, there's about 15kg difference between the r200 & r230!!

test fitting knuckles and arms on the rear

IMAG1693_zpsstouni4n.jpg

IMAG1697_zpsuadorziz.jpg

All bolted up nicely, so knuckles are off again for final welding.

Looking good shouldn't the rear camber arms be a complete circle around the strut they look like s14 200sx arms or doesn't it matter .

Most are oval, depends on how strong they are...

It's just s13 and z32 use standard circle and s14 only use half circle as standard seen s14s with 300zx arms on before as well just curious .

So how did that rear suspension roll point modification you mentioned before work out James?

don't know yet! initial fitment looks good, need to fully weld the coilover mount as it's only tac'd in place, then fully assemble everything with the diff to get the car back on it's wheels
