I had to remove my bumper support when i fitted mine, i also have fog ducts so didnt affect me, but if you are keeping the fogs you may need to fettle the support bar to fit the bumper as the fogs sit within it. Try taking the polystyrene section off first to see if it helps before binning the whole bar.

am having ducts to does the 99 car not have a bumper support on it I wonder if I could cut this one down

Wish i knew this a couple of hours ago dan id have left the red one with you and taken the blue one instead buddy.

like what your doing with your car fella keep up yhe good work.

The bumper support is part of the car so it is removable, bumpers sometimes come with the polystyrene filler strip and the side and top mount brackets. If you are going for fog ducts just remove it.

am going to cut off the fog light bits and then cut down the bumper support till the bumper fits and is just resting up on it to give it a little support that's my plan

When I removed my 99 spec front the support bar was there intact,so it does fit...........

Unless theres a 99' spec support bar??-if there is I have one Lol!

there is no way it fits not a chance with support I have on my car. I will just cut it to size its hard plastic be a pain to cut with a saw but i will cut it with my petrol whizzer that will cut it no probs haha

I have a 99-spec front bumper and mine fits over the bar with no problems,

Z bumpers are quite tight to get on and fit right, lots of zeds i have seen have had the bumper off and then not bolted back to the wings properly and have nasty gaps.

I find without the bar the bumpers are wobbly, should literally not move at all...

Is it an original bumper, there quite stretchy.

the inside of the bumper hits the the bar before the bumper is even close to fitting it needs cutting

Does yours look like this?

Mine looks like it wont fit but u put it in place and bolt it to the wings 1st then it pulls it in and closes the gaps then I put the front bolts in...

I had a 99-spec OEM bumper retro-fitted to my old red ZX - and that went straight on over the bar too. I kept the OEM UK spec indicators working for a short time - before installing the J-spec front fogs. I never had to remove the bar or anything else....

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
