Well, I suffered a breakdown in a new TT manual Zed I have purchased I was in Southampton.

 

I contacted the AA as I am a member and they sent out a patrol to check the Zed out. He checked it, and found that the diff had gone, so I required a relay home.

 

A AA mechanic/flatbed driver arrived, and the first thing he said is that he doesn't get many of these cars now, so I start telling him about them. He says I know I have one at home.....lol, so asking him if he was a member of any clubs/forums (I try and sell the club to any Zed owner), he said he is indeed a member of 300zx.co.uk, and his username on here is Pig!!!

 

What a small world, anyway, Pig (Richard) is a fantastic bloke who couldn't do enough for a fellow member who was stranded, and I owe him a great deal when I next see him, hopefully at some meets this year.

 

Thanks Richard it was very much appreciated, and a great laugh for as far as you could take us. Yvonne is so happy we met you too.

At least your not short of spares Ian, you should have a diff or two lying about?

I think I may have somewhere.....lol, but this is a manual TT, my collection is for auto NA.....pmsl

Rear diffs are the same, diffs only vary between na and tt. Transmission type is irrelevant.
