I,m driving my 89/90 swb manual n/a slicktop zed..... She's been in my life for the past 4years and finally looks like she's perfect lol.

I've spent lots of hard earned pennies to get her here ( way more than I tell my wife ...!!!).. So now people ask me ,what's she worth?.

I haven't done an agreed valuation for insurance.. And I don't seem to have much to compare against as there seem so few of these slicks around... Thoughts anyone....?.. Richie

I bought mine for £5300, 4 and half years ago and I've spent 'cough cough' on it, I don't expect to get this back but would expect quite easily to receive what I paid for it, if not a touch more, especially as time goes by.

 

So the extra I have spent is probably still no where near the depreciation you would get on buying a 20k 'modern' car over the same 4 and so year period.

Well just had a valuation on my Z by Mike at Zclub and I nearly fell of my computer stool when I read it...... £10,000....

I must admit that I have been smiling ever since.......lol

WOW...... that's nice.... Is it me or are Z's being valued higher now for insurance and a lot higher than ones for sale....

I know it has loads to do with condition, cost of replacing all the parts, modifications, etc for insurance purposes......

It is just a shame that this is not reflected in the sale price of our Z's........
