Just a query really - does anyone on here re-spray cars? I have a bumper which needs to go on my car and stop cluttering up my lounge, but it's currently black...and my baby's red. :)

Jeff's doing some body work on my car. He might be able to put you in touch with someone.

Well the obvious answer is Pete at PPS, but I recollect Jaylox saying that he sprays cars, although he hasn't been around for a bit - probably off to mix up more carbon fibre pattern paint ! LOL :D

The Zed is usually located in Bedfordshire, whereas I'm in Worcester, most of the time, so either place could be utilised. :)

I once sprayed my Zed on the way home from the pub. I've also s.h.a.t on the side of the shed.

If its in Beds, you could also try speaking to Cambridge Chemicals (not far east of Bedford), who are the official importers for Rage paints - loads of different flip/metalflake/silk paints (and I believe a now chrome effect paint)

 

They may not do the spraying themselves, but they may be able to recommend someone more local to you?

 

Other than that, have heard excellent things about PPS, and am considering a colour change to be done by them early next year :D

In my personal opinion but I wouldn't recomend by worst enemy to F.G (Luke's guy). Within months of him respraying my car, the bodykit was cracking and flaking in places, I've got rust coming through (in a place he said is well known, but he didn't do anything with it - idiot!) and he's very expensive!!!!! My car is going up to Peter's next week, so I'll post what I think of his job. I'm going up from London, but at the end of the day he does a top job like people say - it ill be worth it.

I have every excuse at the moment, Mac. ;) My Zed won't move a single solitary millimetre, let alone a number of miles. Well, not without being towed, anyway. :(

Roughly how many litres would be needed to do the Zed? I'm not talking a strip & dip here, much though I would like that - just a re-spray.

Mac - I am indeed in the AA. That's how I got home 2 weeks ago when the clutch went on the A329M, nearly 90 miles away from home.... Oh that was a sad sight, seeing my Zed being towed on the back of a lorry... :(

Two hundred quid for both sides. Granted no dents because I had a flid spray it first who couldn't colour match to save his LIFE!!!! AHHH But its now s*x on a stick. I love my car. Wife to the gagrage with you it's time for the Zed to come inside!!!!

Vijay and Ajay,was on the blower today with Peter,Its the Nissan flip used for Micras,Nissan charge £450 per litre+vat,Peter is charging £50 all in,he said you will need 3/5 litres.

 

Anyone got a picture of a Micra in that colour?

It looks wasted on a Shitra but on a Z??? Would look aweseome to be honest.

 

Shame Peter the Paint Meister couldn't get the Primera green flip...that would be more than awesome on a Z!

 

Ajay trust me when I say that Peter at PPS does a blinding job, my car was under the car cover for the past few weeks and when I saw it roll up on the drive this afternoon after the window had been fixed...choked! Really does look good.

 

Heidi said that the owner of the Nelson where the car was being done had got a Ferrari 550 Marranello parked out the front in blue. She said my car looked nicer. In her opinion before anyone starts a Ferrari looking worse than a Z war. ROFLMFAO :D

Ive thought about a flip type paint too...Any one know how much this costs?...I saw a lovely colour on a ...(dont laugh) Nissan Micra....sort of a gold to green look...fannytastic!!
