Well, it's February, so the homeward slog toward spring and summer is upon us. Just March to do and then I'll tax my Z again for the beginning of April, so not long!

The weather this year especially has made me glad my Z is in storage for the winter. Just awful. But it's also making me miss it as I do push it out of the garage from time to time to either work on it or give it a wipe down and I haven't even been able to do that as it's always been wet/raining! Even if it's cold, at least I can push it outside to tinker with.

Anyone else counting the days? I do hope this miserable weather pattern breaks!

I can't wait till march, I'm sick of it just sitting there. The sad thing is my van gas started to feel quick.... Oh dear.

I'm driving mine daily at the moment, Unfortunately I broke the defender on Sunday having too much fun ( front prop uj, one rear brake, dislocated both rear springs and ripped the water pump pulley off)

was a bit concerned today with the amount of rain and size of the puddles

Hmm, I've not seen that before. It's not a particularly great diagram as it only shows the cross sections at one point (they change slightly along their axis) but gives a good overview. I can confirm that section A, D, E, F, G are all accessible without drilling, using fastener holes, existing lightning holes (mostly covered with vinyl tape from the factory).

I was unaware that cross section A had that internal channel so I'll have to have a little nose at that one along its length. I can't quite work out point B and I haven't touched C yet, it's on the list.

Joel, I found you an answer. It's in the form of something derv-like and of French origin. It's dull, it's bland, but it's cheap, comfy and big.

Haha, it would cost as much as the car in fuel to collect it! I've had plenty of bangers like that to fill this need but ultimately, they always end up being a waste of money.

I'll give this method a go and reassess at the end of the year. For now, I'm quite looking forward to using the zed a bit more.

This is the diagram Nissan produced in their UK brochure:

I can also confirm that point C can also be accessed easily through several fastener holes without drilling. I neglected to do these on the drivers side so will have to go back.

As a side note though, when I say 'easily accessed', I mean using a 60mm application wand in strategic places, being able to cover the internal area of the cavity completely, without making extra holes.

Hi everybody , how much do you spend for the annual tax in uk ?

Thank you .

I only tax mine for 1/2 a year which is circa £120 - I think a year is just over £200? What part of Brittany are you from?

Morbihan (56000) , vannes .

But now i've changed my life then i work in morroco (agadir). I've found a 300zx (i'm the second owner since 2009) , this z was in a great order ( the first owner was a french around 65 years and bought it new in 1990 in france).

It´s my second 300zx.

In Morocco there is only 3 300zx and the taxes are very expensive (720€ per year !!! Only 60€ for normal car as clio ...).

I know Vannes! Been there a few times.

I can't imagine the roads are all that sports-car friendly?

Close enough - it's £225 per year at the current rate my friend...

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
