Steering locked on? Do you mean it went stiff? Have you checked the reservoir fluid level?

yes very stiff almost unturnable, fluid is up to level and very clean

Is your speedo working normally?

speedos fine, found the problem fluid dripping underneath will upload video once photobuckets finished

Sounds like the fluid has drained out, without it you have no PS. It will be heavy as arse. You could try limping it back by topping up the res but u suspect something popped off.

what could have popped off anything expensive?

hydrolic lines just dont pop off ... so its most likely to be your pump is bust or a Split High pressure line

as you have said there is oil leaking

It's likely the one that runs along the front subframe, they rot out. It was probably just one step to far and it's torn/seperated(popped off)/split etc.

fill it up and see where it comes out. I take it the reservoir is empty?
