I have this box attached to the under the steering wheel trim cover on my Slictop. Any idea what it does? It was disconnected but if I connect it, it blows the illumination fuseIMG_3745.jpg

If only I could read Japanise )) I don't think its aftermarket as there is a part number with some jap writting.

Get the part number and ring up nissan asking for parts debtpartment and aske for quote and will u there ask what it is does

I'd sat it's definitely aftermarket. That is certainly not a Nissan OEM harness.

Thanks for the replies, Its a series III 1994. I still have the original titanuim key and 2 spare ones. What is strange, why it blows the 10A illum fuse when connected?? Zed has an aftermarket immobiliser which works fine.

Looks like the control box to those bumper parking aerials they like in Japan to help you judge the corner of the car when parking.

I think you right Jeff, The front bumper I removed to swop for a 99 spec one had one of those aerials. Nice one!!
