I've been watching a lot of Fast & Loud recently & love the look of their cars when fitted with air ride suspension. I was wondering if anyone had ever fitted it in a zed & would it be worth it? Be good for getting over speed bumps. Seen some really good kits for sale.

Out of interest what kits have you seen buddy and what sort of prices are they?

Just seen a few on the net, cheapest I've seen is £1500. Would be interested to know how a zed performs with it fitted.

Don't do that.....air ride god, damn neons next its a sports car. They look naff ultra low anyway.

Just curious to know what it would look like on a zed.

I'd rather fit leaf springs! :wack:

I've seen some pretty tastey car bagged or air suspension. The kind where attention to detail is everything.

It's a lot more expensive but is impressive as you now can retain a decent amount of handling instead of the first kits that were either hard as a rock or all wallowy.

Never seen a zed on them though.

Don't like it slammed but do think its a great idea to avoid the speed bumps. Not for 3k though.

That looks shite, like it's collapsed. I also think that's photoshopped. Doesn't look right therefore probably isnt.

Agreed. Reminds me of a shagged old Citroen BX that's been stood for a few months. I just see little point in it all. I have no problem with speed humps.

I'm going lower, but not extreme. It stubs coming off my drive already. However is scrubbed more at stock height all wobbly.

Oh Jesus.lol

i did think that would be a bit too modified for your taste si,lol.

but to be fair it was there advertisment car of what they can do and it is all done to a high standard.

its been sat in there garage for the last 4years but he wont sell it.

An advert for turning a sports car into something that looks like it can barely move. 14tons of in-car-entertainment and silly doors, but that's ok, cause he's fitted a carbon fibre bonnet!!!.:wack:  ;)

Haha, yeah the carbon does seem silly now that you mention it.

I'm all for airbags, I've seen a couple fitted to various cars, and hydraulics, mainly tends to be on VW's or Audi's though.

Never seen them on a car that gets driven properly. My mate just had some fitted to his S3, cost him about 2K and that was with free fitting, something about the shop using his car as a guinee pig/demo car for the first model of the kit. They had to cut a notch in the chassis for the driveshaft so that it can sit with the sills on the floor.

Its a fancy bit of kit, looks nice but I think it just points out how much the arches are too big for the wheels, I'd much prefer a bit of poke or to have them fit flush.

A bloke who I was talking too about his hydraulics said his were a piece of piss to fit, but they weren't car specific, he had to cut the bottom of his old shocks off and then weld them onto the new pistons. That put me off straight away, can't blame me for considering though the luck I've had with front bumpers.

But why would you want to do this? I just don't understand. Not trying to be a knobulous, but to cut up the chassis rails so the sills touch the floor? Makes about as much sense as a politician.
