Is it possible for a 1993 import TT LWB to have seatbelts on the doors? Thought that year would make it a series 2 and have front belts mounted to the body?? Anyone got any views on this??

Featured Replies

if i remember correctly they moved the seat belt from the door onto the pillar in 1994 this was one of the few changes made another one being electrical hicas rather than the old hydraulic system which yours will have

cheers

Pretty sure that would mean its a series 1. Best way to check the year is the label at the bottom of the seatbelt.

Although if I'm wrong I'm sure someone else will correct me.

Year of registration and year/model arent always the same thing.

And then the UK DVLA has dozens of 300s with wrong data on the log book.

thanks for correcting me pete and i can second him on that fact as dvla have my 89 shortie on a F plate making mine a 88 :rofl:

fair enough was just confused because my dads is a 89 lwb on a g guess coz mines older thats why its got a different reg letter

Exactly what Pete said.....

The registration letter and actual year of first use are a "grey" area on many J-spec cars.....

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
