I looked at that one myself...

 

Seams cheap so would have to think about if it's actually in 'upgrade' over the standard SMIC.

 

Also no pipe work included so would need to source that seperatly

I can source rubber tubing quite easily, I would class it as in upgrade as it has a larger volume than the two standards??

Just because it has a larger volume won't always mean it's better, if the cores are crap it won't cool the air as well, also it might not allow the air to travel through at a volume that's adiquate to cool the radiator and oil cooler, causing over heating problems.

 

Just my 2p's worth I could be totally wrong. And it maybe a good buy. As I said I looked at one, but those questions came to mind when I saw the price.

As above. Core/capacity and pressure drop all factors when looking at replacing the intercoolers. Personally, I'd stick with decent known brands. Z1 do an excellent SMIC upgrade kit. Personally not a fan of FMICs.
