Just need to know what you have to take off to fit HID lights to headlight thanks .

You don't take anything off only the twist retainer and the rubber bung, unplug the connector from bulb, release bulb clip, remove bulb, etc, access is poor but all in all 30 mins to fit, an hour though if a brews involved .

I did mine in about an hour or so with the headlights and everything else in situ :)

As above - quite simple to do; if a little bit fiddly getting the HID bulbs in place into the lamp holders.....

.......And then choosing where to locate the ballast units. Mine are under the nose panel fixed to where the old air box was mounted:wink: I'm no expert at car maintenance and mine only took around 30-60 minutes tops!!

Thanks guys someone tried to rip me off glad we have this forum .

Worth cleaning the optics when you install your HID. I was surprised at how much dust accumulates inside the headlight

assembly. This is the method I used:

You can also clean the rear of the projector lens using the same technique. The cleaning made a big difference to the light

output and makes the lights look brand new. You do have to remove the headlight assembly to do the cleaning, but that is not

a hard job.

It's so that when you switch from dipped to full beam, the HIDs in the dipped beam stay on. You can do the simple "earth" modification; but that will make the full and dipped come on together each time you flash your headlights - whereas with the "diode" mod, the flash operation only works the main beam.

It's to prevent premature bulb failure in the HIDs - as they do not like being flashed on and off too much:wink:

I see so were does the diode go and what diode do you need

i havnt got clue about wiring mite as well be talking to me in French will have to get some one to do if for me

I just opted for the easy earth mod for mine, couldn't be bothered with relays etc, and I flash people with my fog lights. just occurred to me though my fog lights will be going soon....

I opted for the even easier option of forgetting all about the mod..lol

If I flash someone, i want them to know about it! :)

There is a very clear guide in the Tech section on the wiring.

It's really quite simple to do.
