Hi there,

been doing a bit of a search and cant seam to find the answer.

How many hose clamps in the engine bay and what sizes are they? thinking about changing them all for T bolt clamps......

i know its prob going to be expensive but its something that can be done in stages.

I tried to do the same thing a month or so ago..... I gave up after spending £80 on the wrong sizes.... Got money back instead....

I will be getting Mikalor ones when I get some money together..... but not from where I got the last lot....... They took measurements for me...... I went to fit what they supplied and it was too small......

Then when I took them back, they studied every single one for any marks on them as though I was trying to pull a fast one...... Also they had quoted me a couple of quid each.....Turned out they charged me £5.65 each.....

Watching my Z disintegrate on my driveway!!!

If you just bear with me I will put up all sizes as I have all the Mikalors on mine and I struggled with sizes at first.

I did find measuring with a calliper did help greatly :thumbup1:.

agreed, T bolts are a bit of a nightmare.. there isn't a lot of adjustment and so you have to be accurate with size section...

best to order a few different ons at first and see what fits where..

there are also places that where because of their size they just wont fit where you want them.

good luck.

I know I did some research when I was purchasing but found very little of help, I did order one or two initially as MM points out and this isn't a bad idea as they are quite expensive and you don't really want to be getting it wrong. If you do require further clamps for rad hoses, etc just measure across with with a caliper and order the T-clamp that falls in that range - this theory does actually work :cool3:.

The pic below, top left this a 68 - 73mm clamp, bottom left this is 55 - 59mm clamp, all the others are 59 - 63mm clamps.

Next pic are the aftermarket pipes, which I am soon to fit (just waiting on clamps !!), with the caliper these measure approx 72mm outer diameter, so therefore these still require 68 - 73 clamps x 3 each, but the reduced part measures 62mm, so require the 59 - 63mm clamps. The aftermarket outer pipes - not pictured, are 62mm across so require the same clamps as the pic above, so that's the 59 - 63mm ones.
