Does anyone know if the knock sensor fault code should still come up on consult when it has been bypassed with the resistor in place of the actual knock sensor?

I think it does cus it came up when plugged into my car. Put the car in limp home mode.

no iff you remember Tom me being a knobhead had mixed the plug up with the VVT...once changed over it cleared the code and stayed cleared. So the answer to the question is as long as the resistor is the correct value and in the ecu end of the dett plug then the code should not come back which ironicly clears after every fresh engine start anyway with the dett sensor connected.

tbh i think thats where 99% of all my problems are, the wiring loom is on its last legs.

unfortunatley tho funds dont allow a new loom.

May I ask where you can acquire a new loom?
