Need a new clutch. Something stronger than standard. What's good and where do I get it from?

Also, might as well change my flywheel while I'm at it so some recommendations for that too.

Anything else worth doing/replacing while I'm at it?

I can only state what I have and it's the same as this link and good for 500BHP, not too heavy at all and I've read lots of happy customers in the main on the Oz site who have these and the similarly priced F1 ones .

I'd spotted this clutch and flywheel combo before but was a little sceptical because it's really "well priced" and it's eBay. Having heard from someone with one though I am reassured. Anyone else got any recommendations?

I am sure Jimmer has this clutch too....... and his is fitted :) I purchased this on his recommendations.

Alz.

Oo I was going for the z1 clutch combo but this looks good! ...tempting. How is it with your power phutumsch??

I've had an rps max clutch and fidanza flywheel in my current Z (running 400bhp and 420 lb of torque) for 4 years and my previous running 14psi etc for 2 years. Bit heavy pedal, but organic plates, think it uses standard friction plates with heavier springs. Can't remember the price or were to get them I'm afraid but very smooth take off and I've drag raced the hell out of both for years and they never slip or judder.

Cheers

Danny

Whilst I agree that is a good setup (I have the rps clutch and flywheel combo myself), you're looking at paying at least 3 times the price of the one shown on eBay. Whether it is 3 times better, or lasts 3 times longer is another issue...

I think Draxan as answered your question, I have no problems either with similar to his power .

I've tried loads. I don't like the paddle ones personally.

I currently have a southbend clutch which is great

Finally got round to it and got the new clutch and flywheel. As with any work being done on a zed.... Anything worth replacing at the same time?

Hi,

I'm just wondering if all you guys who bought the XTD clutch last year are still happy with it? Probably gonna take the plunge and buy one this week but thought I'd get an update from you lot first :)

Cheers,

S.

xtd clutches are very good value and have fitted many over the years without any problems:)

Below are some pics of a couple of clutch options we supply or supply and fit, manufactured for us in the UK to our own specifications so no import duty and no silly delivery times, all brand new, no remanufactured items here.

The first two pictures are of a 25% upgrade item mainly used for mild boost and chip upgrades.

The paddle clutch is available in 5 or 6 puck depending upon spec required,

The clutch cover features upgrade fingers and steel inserts, the plate has progressive double shock springs which makes this paddle clutch feel almost stock unlike others which end up been like an on/off switch the friction material is stable to very high temps and load and would be fine for your application.

Matching lightened flywheels available from UK stock too.
