The only thing I like about that Z is the front bumper. Ancient old V8 auto.....doubt it feels all that quick. I've driven a few old shape Corvettes and they felt a little lazy. I'd have rather kept the V6 NA in it. lol

Completely agree, front end is rather nice, but with that heavy old lump upfront I reckon an NA would be quicker and more fuel efficient. Just buy an engine bay dress up kit if you want it to look fancy.

Thing is those old Chevy blocks are easy to pull power out of, cheap to pull bigpower too. You will find the reason it's in there is the previous owner couldn't hack life with the vg30, that's almost certain. Sounds like its on the isle of white. That will be for sale for a while.

Because it goes blah blah blah blah blah :cool3:

You've hit the nail on the head there... Imagine the noise.

Not everyone wants a Z the same as everyone else, the styling is a little questionable in places but its not all about speed you know. And as mentioned above its very simple to get BIG power out of a V8.

Shame it's such a piddly engine... :whistling:

Is that an Impul front bumper? they seem to be popping up everywhere these days...

I am a fan of the VG30DETT as much as the rest of us - but I still sometimes hanker after a V8 motor......

.......Although if I really wanted to satisfy my V8 craving I'd probably just go out and buy a Porsche 928; rather than modify the 300zx. That said, the VQ45 conversion does look good....

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

not a fan of the styling.. but i get the V8 noise, even if it doesnt make a huge performance difference, there is something to be said for how a car makes you FEEL.

i'm always tempted by TVR chimaera's.. yes not as reliable as some, and not as quick as some... but with the roof off, those looks, that interior and the sound of the V8, i reckon i could live with it being slower..

Believe me when you've driven a zed with a small block V8 in it, the sound and grunt it has compared to a standard TT is immense especially when running on 4" pipe and a large carb like my old one - you'd be converted.

A bargain too - mine cost me £20k and it still didn't work...

I'm Biased..........................BUT I would do it all again!-pound per horsepower,can't touch the yank stuff!:ninja:
