Had mine since 84 and no points yet. However, being a girlie, I must admit I've pathetically giggled my way out of trouble many a time!!

Funny, when I try that I just get a breathalyser test

50k miles a year and only 3 points in 10 years. Sadly I think I got done today 69 in a 70.... We will have to wait and see what turns up in the post. Turns out my car durrived van doesn't qualify for te 70 limit, as it is able to weigh 200kg over the 2k weight limit. A heavy great landrover however is allowed to do 70 :s load of *****x.

Sorry to hear that Steve - weren't we only talking about car derived vans and speed limits on Sunday (or was that with someone else - I'm getting forgetful in my old age:wink:)...?

Hopefully nothing will turn up; fingers crossed mate, they have 2 weeks to issue the NIP!

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Yup, I read it first as car based vans or vans able to carry upto 3.5 tonne. Transit connects and caddys are excluded as they can carry 2.2t. I guess it's down to the camera operator, how we'll they know the regs and weather noticed I was a van rather than just another car. 2007 that law slid underthe mat for anyone wondering.

22 years since my 19 points were removed........lol

I totted up speeding points when I passed my test..... usual boy racer.... But 9 of those were handed out due to a police officer lying in court and being proved to be lying.... but I admitted doing 40 in a 30, but not the 50 he claimed.....

He took a friend of mine to court the week before me and he was charged with 40 in a 30..... I went to court a week later for 50 in a 30..... But I was following my friend when we both got pulled over....

The officer stood in court and read from his note book all the details.... Then I stood up and verified the speed... he said cockily "Yes you were doing 50 miles per hour in a 30 limit!", I said, " And I was following Mr........ when you pulled us both over for speeding?"

The officer said, " YES".... with a cocky grin on his face.... I then said, " If this is the case, why was he charged with doing 40 in a 30 limit last week? Surely if I had followed him doing 10mph faster for the mile you claim you followed us, then I would have driven through the back of his car?"

The magistrates were trying not to grin..... but I noticed one looking at the floor chuckling.... The officer kept frantically looking through his notebook and finally agreed I was correct..... I got 3 points as I admitted 40 in a 30 and an apology from the officer as directed by the magistrates.......

This officer hounded me after that, used to sit at the end of my road waiting and pull me up everyday...... Finally lost my licence the 3rd time he went to court and lied.......

Sorry rambling on.........lol

Watching my Z disintegrate on my driveway!!!

I've only been driver around 15 years, was a late bloomer. No points so far. Had 6 on my provisional though
