OMG, started it today, 20min fitness test was the order of the day, i haven't exorcized in a while and thought it was time to do something about the extra pounds, I tend to float between 12 stone and 15 stone, never getting any lighter and never getting any bigger, always between 12 and 15, i have good legs already, but i have a spare tire i wanted to get rid of. its been doing my head in for a while and as im now almost 3 months with out a single real ciggy, eating healthier i thought id give the insanity program a go.

Well what can i say, im now aching in area's i didn't know existed. I pushed as hard as i could, just like he says in the DVD's, hopefully my fitness levels will return, but going to stick with it for the 60 days, if it works ill post some before and after photos.

Just need to get over the mental block and carrying on with it each day, its nice to have someone on the DVD encouraging you though as i do not have a fitness buddy here.

Ill up date this thread with my progress, might encourage more to take up the challenge lol

Nice one buddy, keep it up.

haha you do not know just how encouraging it is to actually have someone say that, its a killer work out, i doubt im going to be able to do all the work out in one go to start with, but im going to keep at it, push as hard as i physically can on each exorcise, i am certainly no spring chicken at the moment lets put it that way, but just hoping its going to be well worth it in the end, most of the work outs last 45 mins, the one i did today was just 20min and it kicked my ass lol.

It'll get easier as you go bud. Hats off to you, and good luck with it buddy, it'll be worth the pain in the end.

Well done buddy. Stick with it and the results will come. It doesn't actually get any easier as the fitter you get the more you do!!

As I said on FB the 2nd month is a whole new level. Day 31 is like starting over again. I had some really good results fom it, but you must keep your diet in check.

Best of luck, it WILL be worth it.

well done m8, but just be careful as alot of guys that do phiz alot get injured doing insanity blow outs, just take it easy and you will be fine. i have a copy if anyone wants one.

Toolbox, i know mate, it might even take me longer than the planned 2 months as i am actually more unfit than i realised, not fun when you get your ass handed too you by a DVD dude. But im determined to do it as i need to improve my fitness and want to actually get back my muscle tone i had when i was in the army. (that was a fair while ago lol)

I thought that too and i only did the pre fitness test lol, that was only 20mins long with 2 min breaks between work outs, might just do a week of pre fitness test dvd, then crack on with the main lot once i feel a little more "fit" lol

Naa, ill just crack on with the main set tomorrow and see how much of a heap on the floor i am after, Please note though, you need space and do not attempt it with a light fixture dangling over head.

Good on you for giving it a go Ian, I finished it a couple of months back and it was tough but rewarding, unfortunately not done anything since apart from 6 a side footy once a week and eat lots of biscuits lol oops...

Might start again today!

Did you actually see results though? apart from aching like a mofo for the rest of the day?

Haha Steve...

Yes Ian felt a big difference playing football although it didn't really help my asthma much lol...

Body wise after 2 weeks abs and definition started being very noticable if thats what you're after :)

yes mate, im reluctant to stick the photos of me up with no top on, especially coming up to dinner time, but lets just say there are some parts of me id like to either turn to muscle, or at least disappear

If at the end of these 2 months, its a lot better, then ill do a before and after set.

Not looking forward too it, but determined non the less, so will carry on.

so it comes with full diet plan aswell, this is the one thing i really struggle with when working out. i have been going to the gym for about a year now but havent got any real results and i feel its due to my diet of takeaway and beer lol

Exactly the same as me mate, apart from the beer and take away part. but diet was always my struggle, never knew what was the best thing to eat to supplement a work out.

Chocolate, Biscuits and Spitfire, i always found!!....sorry Vods, that doesn't help much does it?

I did insanity and it's pretty good, found it repetitive later on, but you may feel unfit it's just due to lack of conditioning. Give it a week and that Asian girl won't kick your ass as hard... Haha.

Saw a diff too aswell as being lean.

Good luck Ian :)

good work mate keep it up! other than a regular walk and a weekly body pump session at the gym i get little other exercise, although i'm currently increasing my exercise for a spartan 5k at the end of this month.

The girls at work do insanity

I get out of breath watching them every day
