Big Jim contacted me a few days ago with regards to his ban; and I am pleased to announce that the committee has approved his return to the forum.

 

So as soon as his account has been reactivated, Jim will be online once more.

 

Now, before anyone says anything, I am mindful of the old "Extrem Imports" saga! So in mitigation, using some of Jim's words himself below, the reason he was originally banned was because people felt he had ripped them off.

 

Jim broke a car for spares, but it was the first time he had done it, and at 22/23 years old, he was probably a bit naive as to the efforts involved! He sold a few things but did tell some people it might take a few weeks to get the parts to them, as he was getting somebody else to strip the car. Unfortunately as time went on, some folk were less happy to wait. To compound the problem, a couple of things turned up damaged - although Jim did try to resolve the issues but struggled to do so.

 

Jim believes that everybody either received their parts or a full refund in the end; however some members lost trust in Jim so he was banned from the forum. Apparently, as a good will gesture, Jim did offer all the parts he had left for free to any members; and remains resolute that he wasn't out to con people.

 

I am also aware that he re-registered under the name Big Jim whilst being banned under another name. But to his credit, in the time he was registered as Big Jim, he did not put a foot wrong and to my knowledge, remained a popular and model member. It is for that reason that the committee has agreed to lift Jim's permanent ban; albeit under certain restrictions. For one, he will not be permitted the benefits of subscribed members - so no trading or PM facilities; and will remain on probation for a period of 6 months.

 

If anyone who previously had unresolved dealings with Jim has a problem with his return, please do not hesitate to contact me in private (by PM or email please; not on the open forum) and I will discuss it with the rest of the committee in respect of our decision to allow Jim's return. Thanks,

I haven't been on here really since my ban was lifted. I did have a look on here for a while and was greatful that i was taken back, but i just didn't feel like i was enjoying it as i had before.

That was probably due to the fact that i dont have a 300zx, which might be about to change!

 

Somebody contacted me on driftwork as i had posted on somebody elses for sale thread, offering me a low mileage, Manual TT.

Still waiting for him to get the logbook but sounds like a goer!
