I was thinking... and *yes* I am gonna do it anyway even if it's billy no mates (apart from the missus who is up for it) ..... but is anyone else up for a weekend meet so we can cruise (errm I mean crawl) through the Blackpool illuminations this autumn?

My idea is if anyone wants to make a weekend of it we all book a Saturday night at one of the bigger hotels (that has a carpark!) The rest who just want to make an evening of it come up late afternoon and join the convoy.... and given some dry weather we cruise the illumnations both ways targas off (and heaters on most likely)

Then later we hit the town and go to the Motown and Soul club near North Pier (or whatever floats your boat)

Just asking around right now to see if anyone else wants to do this....... then hopefull I can get some dates organised and something booked

Hope I really am not Billy no mates on this one - but my Z will be on the Blackpool fronts whatever lol

Rich

That was part of my thinking too buddy, but if we are going to have even more cars than last night, we may have to consider letting the police know, and all that takes time.

Tell the Rozzers ???? Naaaaah

lol, I know what you mean, but I am sure that there is a certain maximum amount of cars allowed before it is actually law to inform them. We would only have to tell them about the illuminations run though....pmsl.

Here's the only usable pics of mine - next time I will remember to take my DSLR and tripod!

Nothing much different from the others here, but I did get a couple nice pics for Trev's stunning Red 'vert

Great to see all these pics, here's mine though .

2nd to last going in speed hump got me, I crept over straight on all of them going in and wasn't happy with any especially this monster, why the need for them all over the country :cursing:.

Coming away from the Urban Village I thought I would attack this particular hump at 45 degrees, or else go straight again and rake all my underside, I did and thought I'd got away with it at the time, must of caught the bumper on the way up it, creeping practically side on, today I spotted what I thought was a leaf................but oh no damaged :headvswal.

This was my voiced concern prior to the meet :(

Sorry you got an injury but mine scraped over all of them no matter how I approached :(

That's a real shame. Those speed bumps were ridiculous. Especially for such an upmarket place which must get a lot of nice cars using the car park.

Oh no, sorry to see this Andy, will have to give mine a check over and see if there is any damage, mine got caught a couple of times.

I'm very sorry to see that mate - Hopefully it is not much of a fix to sort it

Actually I was suprised mine got over OK, straight on at all of them without grounding - being only 8.5cm off the tarmac at the front end. And you are right Andy there were a couple of monsterous humps!!

Funnily the only time I grounded the front end was during that short cut through the Norbreck car park when I hit a bumpy patch of road (anyone else spot the faces on the guests from some wedding function who were hanging around having a ciggy?) lol Fortunately for me the Viper front bumper curves underneath, so it is not the bottom lip that catches which means the scrapes are not visible

Rich

It's just that gash, I'll throw a bit of filler in it and a quick blow with some spray and it'll improve no end, think the marks to the left will polish out.

Think there was about 6 humps, 6 too many IMO :mad2:.
