I was thinking... and *yes* I am gonna do it anyway even if it's billy no mates (apart from the missus who is up for it) ..... but is anyone else up for a weekend meet so we can cruise (errm I mean crawl) through the Blackpool illuminations this autumn?

My idea is if anyone wants to make a weekend of it we all book a Saturday night at one of the bigger hotels (that has a carpark!) The rest who just want to make an evening of it come up late afternoon and join the convoy.... and given some dry weather we cruise the illumnations both ways targas off (and heaters on most likely)

Then later we hit the town and go to the Motown and Soul club near North Pier (or whatever floats your boat)

Just asking around right now to see if anyone else wants to do this....... then hopefull I can get some dates organised and something booked

Hope I really am not Billy no mates on this one - but my Z will be on the Blackpool fronts whatever lol

Rich

Wow what a nite folks!!!

First off big thanks for everyone who attended last night and made it such a fantastic experience - I can't thank you all enough. There were some that said this is just a forum site and not a real 'club' .... well last night we proved them wrong and last night 300ZX.co.uk ROCKED the Blackpool Prom!!!

And we weren't the only car club around last night either, it's not like we had no competition...... PS the exhaust soundoff against that scooby at the big roundabout was hilarious

For all those who couldn't make, sorry to say it but you missd something special - the attention our cars got from passers by and traffic heading the other way was nothing short of spectaular. We caused more of a sensation than the lights

Well done everyone who stuck through with us for over three hours to get through the lights.... and how many others watched 1/4 a tank dissappear in the process?

Well done everyone for all the superb pics too, I have a few usable ones to upload later (forgot my camera and had to resort to my phone in some iffy lighting conditions)

One very very special thanks must go to Wayne (Blackpool-Z32) my co-conspirator in organising this. Thanks Wayne I couldn't have done it without you mate.

I'm looking forward to seeing the video of all those drive through we did round that industrial estate place you found us

And know what, I'm even more looking forward to doing this again next year with even more Zeds

300ZX.co.uk rules!!!:punk::punk::punk:

:clap::clap::clap: very well said Richard. thanks again to you and wayne for the organisation, I know it's not easy putting something like that together from my time in the Triumph club, worrying if any one will actually turn up, traffic conditions and the likes, nightmare, but it went very very well, and as you quite rightly say, so looking forward to next year and even more Zeds. Cheers guys.

Just glad that chippy was open or I'd have been lynched!! :D

Just getting pics together, footage is going to require my brothers expertise :)

Great pics folks - thank you for sharing!!

It does indeed look like a great night; it's good to see such a turnout. I think you NW guys and gals really do stage many many good meets!!!

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

We had a blast what with all the attention we got, fortunately not enough to get us arrested for some "spiirited" driving on that industrial estate, expecting the feds to turn up at any time. Would have been very funny if the RAC would have had to bring fuel out to 10 zeds out of fuel on the prom but fortunately it didnt come to that. So thanks again Eveyone for a great weekend. We ROCK. And i fixed my boost guage problem and the rough running issue on the way home, boost sensor pipe had popped off the balance bar so great result

Nice turnout lads and some nice cars too, maybe one day we will have one massive meet .

I think we should start a new thread giving a date for next years run now (or after discussions), and get as many names down for it as we can, it also gives plenty of notice for any members that have to book leave for work the chance to get the dates involved in early, and book hotels if needed. Let's make the Blackpool illuminations run a major meet for the Zed scene in 2014 and on.

Great idea we might be able to get group discount on the hotel rate too.

That was part of my thinking too buddy, but if we are going to have even more cars than last night, we may have to consider letting the police know, and all that takes time.
