Saw one at Jimmer's unit a few weeks ago. Looked pretty good. Something I'd really like. I can still get the RHD OEM harness from a contact I have in Los Angeles, but supply is almost nil and the stock of OEM harnesses from Z1 has now depleated, so these things are certainly a good thing.

You saw one from this manufacturer? How would you rate the quality compared to oem? Was Jimmer impressed?

Im liking the options list, including injector plug type, and also if you have had a auto to manual conversion

Excuse me but can troublemakers not post on my threads. I dunno, took my eye off the forums for a couple of weeks and look who they let back in. That's the last time I ever go over to Slough to help someone look over a Zed. Moan moan. :glare:

(hallo Si, just thought I'd better welcome you back properly :D )

Hahaha. Well the Z you had a hand in buying is still going strong!!

Yeah, the quality looked very good. Jimmer was impressed with it. Can't remember who's car it was going in. Howard's I think.

Good to hear it. And at least my first one still appears in Zairs' avatar :)

Isn't it better to use a left hand one anyway as its better to hide?

I have a New wiring loom from z1, left hand drive, its a pain in the ass as its extra long near where it goes into the fire wall, back when it was on my blue car, i had a incident where i had smoke pouring out of my passenger side bonnet near the battery, it came down to the cable tie or what ever someone has used to secure it to the car had snapped and the wiring loom was resting against the turbo, luckily it only melted the hard plastic outer inclosure, it missed the heat protection wrap by around 1mm, if id left it any longer or not even noticed, id of had a very bad tangle of melted wires on a new harness.

Id say getting the correct one for your car would be a better option as it reduces the risk of having extra to flop about if something gives way.

I'm running one and it's great!

Maybe it was yours I saw then. Did look good. HAS to be better than an old heat destroyed brittle piece of shit.

The one on my black zed at the moment, before i swapped it over for the new one i took off my blue zed, Jesus; surprised the car ran in all honesty, as it fell to bits when taking it off.

So much better though not having to worry about engine harness issues.

Yeah I bet! It's something I really need to get to be honest. I have 2 connectors that could really do with being replaced, but I'd rather replace the whole thing.

You say you're surprised, but I bet even though it was running, with a new loom, it'll be running perfectly. You'll have less signal degredation in the wires/connectors.

Basically the loom was that bad, just unplugging the injectors snapped the wires, and that was with out really touching it, so much nicer now i have a new one instead and yes, you do notice the difference, not sure if its a placebo effect or actually because as you say, the signal is a lot cleaner, but certainly felt and sounded smoother.

Don't think it'll be a placebo effect, the spark will be stonger, the signals to and from the ECU will be clearer, the earthing will be stronger. We all know what a grounding kit does for the Z32. :)

Group buy!

Good thinking Poely J. I might have a chat with some contacts in the states and see if anyone is pally with these guys. Failing that, I'll orchestrate something myself and speak to them directly if there was enough interest.

Group buy!

Be interested myself, will need to replace mine after the engine is rebuilt.

I have a friend in Arizona who's really good friends with Coz, so I could ask him also. Depends how much margin Coz makes I guess. Might be worth going straight-to-source.
