With respect that shows a car being delivered, not of a specific area of panel damage!

To achieve a dent as on the tailgate something would of had to be dropped on it, or the tailgate was raised up against a blunt small edge. Difficult to confirm how or when this was done, but to me suggests it was raised up when in an enclosed space or low headroom.

To me it looks like a ratchet strap has been thrown over the back of the car and not quite made it... Or perhaps a stone chip/debris on the motorway as the truck was uncovered.

So it turned out to be the delivery driver after all? I'm guessing he should have filled in a form with all the damage etc

I have all the rare bits you can't find :tongue:

I'm surprised he didn't have a pre-delivery form with a panel layout to show any damage, before taking responsibility, would have saved any questions being raised on who might be responsible!! Glad it's sorted now.

just a thought here and observation but did the delivery guy get asked or quized about the damage before Noel was put into the frame...only reading this thread and the way it was going it did not do one of our traders any favours in peoples eyes who do not know Noel..

I agree 100%. Better to get the facts and other people involved reports before singling out someone who is innocent. I think Noel is due a public apology at the very least.

Well like I explained to Noel the guy who delivered it was always in the picture why wouldn't he be? At the end of the day I was the customer who put his car in the hands of others yes? The pictures that took a whie to show up where eventually going to put final nail in someone's coffin witch it did,Noel's knows this,i never singled anyone out in fact I have give the other guy lots of grief over these photos,Noel's work on my car was nothing more than great and I have told him this, and he is trying everything in his power to rectify my other issue that had nothing to do with what he had done,so to some up I haven't singled anyone out I was just dissapointed that the car was damaged in hands of others.

But surely finding out who had caused the damage first before posting on a public forum who might have been to blame was the wrong way to go about things. I can imagine how you must have felt getting your car back with damage on it, but instead of doing potential damage to one of our own traders reputation (because let's face it the recovery bloke will not advertise on here) you would have been better waiting to find out the truth before hand.

So even though it is now proven that it was not Noz that caused the damage, he was still going to get it sorted for you. In my eyes that shows what a great trader Noz is, and I hope this thread is going a little way to make things right for Noel, and everyone can see he was not to blame.

Don't forget Gary didn't mention any names and he was after advice, it was noel that put his own name in the picture

It's fine, I'm more than happy to have any issues aired on a forum where I'm a trader. Think it's only fair in the long run whenever the exchange of money for a servce is concerned. Hence I thought it best to just give my side of the story as openly as possible :)
