I want to change my power steering pot over for my chrome one, whats the best place to drain the power steering fluid with out getting it everywhere, i know about the pipe join in front of the steering rack but would rather not touch that pipe due the aluminum nut on it.

there is a pipe join in front of the subframe that would be a good place but u wont get it all out ... there will be some spillage when taking the pipes off the Pot

thats the one im hoping to avoid, i just need to drain the fluid out of the pot with out making a mess in the engine bay

i used a big syringe with a rubber tube on it and sucked it out,you only need it down into the none pressure pump feed an inch then its good to go.put rags around the pot on the inner wing to mop up any spills:thumbup1:
