Yup, no-one got worked up about team GB in the Olympics. Can imagine the same peeps wiki-ing the athletes to check their nationality before deciding to celebrate. Sad really.

 

Well, I enjoyed it. He's a credit to any nation frankly and more importantly himself.

Couldn't agree more. He is Scotish and as Scotland is still part of Britain at least for now, he is also British.

For those claiming he is scottish, yes you are correct. But then scotland is merely a region within Great Britain, so that makes him british!!! So everybody wins! Well done Andy!!

David Marshall who is the Chief Executive of Scottish Tennis speaking on Sky news just thanked the whole nation for the support and said its a day for Britain to be proud....David Marshall is Scottish and proud like all Brits should be.

What a final, would have celebrated that final whoever was playing, but Murray was as good as any champion on the centre court, the Scotsman, who lives in England, coached by a Czech and recognised today as a British win for all his fans, worldwide.

 

Outstanding and made me proud to Cheer him on as an Englishman and part of these British Isles! If I owned one i would have waved the Saltire alongside the Union flag.

 

Interesting point, is that Lendl, who never won Wimbledon believes Murray is only at 20% of where he wants him to be as a player and since coaching him Murray has gone from finalist to Olympic champion, US Open an now Wimbledon Champion in one year...amazing!

Brilliant match! Well done to Andy Murray! Saw David Cameron in the crowd so at least he had a day off from ruining the country! :)
