Hi I need some advice from other people. I am renting a garage from a church oposite my garden. Thats where I keep my zed. The garage is to small to fit my stuff and my car so I am parking outside my garage, also I am not blocking anything. My garage agreement says " garage is designed for vehicle storage".

Yesterday one of the church people came to my house and tolded me that my car cant be parked outside my garage and needs to be removed.

The guy looked like a proper rasist bow like to complane about everything.

Do I have any rights to keep my car outside my garage or not?

Please help me out guys.

Depends. Is it on private land?

Your rental only covers the space the garage covers (unless specified seperately in a contract).

If he has control of said land in front of the garage. He can tell you to keep it clear.

That depends - is the garage in a block of garages; and do others also leave their cars outside the garages as well? Does your rental agreement include rent of the land in front of the garage? Sure, you have a right of way over the land in order to access the garage; and no-one else can park there because they would be blocking your access. But the agreement may not include such use of the land.....

If your agreement says the garage is specifically for vehicle storage, then it might exclude use for storage of materials and tools etc. But if you had 2 vehicles; and put one in the garage, leaving the other on the land in front, would that be OK. You obviously do not want to lose the garage; but you need to sit down with the owners and discuss these options. And find out what their objections are - maybe someone else has complained to the owners about your car being there?

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Thing is there is 6 garages but a lot of them is emty and only my and my other neighbour is using it but he only putting some his stuff and doing to garage twise a year. Thing is that I live at this address over 10 year and I never ever saw car parked next to that garages. Yes that parking does belong to church but even if I move my car no one can park in front of it. I am only one person hows using garage perminent.

My neighbours ir nice and will never complane its only that guy dont like this. I just want to know if I got rights to park my car in front of my garage and if I got rights I will ignore him. On sundays african peoe coming to chruch and sometime parking in that area but there is plenty room.
