Hi all..ok this happend tonight and i some advice to what it could be.

comeing home from work the car suddenly made a sort of whirring noise,at the next set of traffic lights i stopped and as i went to pull away..nothing,just revs and not moveing.

i turned engine off then on again,put it into gear and for about 10/15 seconds it drove then once again lots of revs but not moveing.

any help?

Think the Portugese authorities should be alerted to Jeff's alledged dodgy dealings!.....that way we get to keep him. LOL

Jeff, your diagnosis and handling of this issue has again been spot on...again!, Surreyseagull66 has had everything from being sold auto boxes to Low life auto mechanics trying to rip him off! you even posted a how to, should our man have wanted to sort the problem himself...no vested interest other than the services are there if needed and they were.

 

Sorry for slight thread drift, but thought it worth a mention. Nice one!

 

Always keen to see zeds saved and owners avoid over spending if I can, shame his local garage would not do it as it would of saved on recovery cost.

That was prob my biggest gripe jeff as i told the bloke to do what you said and even offered him your phone number and he just refused point blank and left me in limbo.However as my brother has said about the garage.The internet and reviews on garages are very powerfull tools.Anyways im just looking up how to get to yours jeff.Im thinking coach from gatwick to Birmingham coach station.Then get train from new street to coleshill parkway?.i guess i can walk it from there?

Just to say cheers to jeff.the car drove perfectly all the way back from brum to sunny surrey.Ive got a big smile on my face and the feeling as i floor it.(ERM i mean accelarate gently) is awesome.cheers mate

What are we going to do without this kind of help??? I truly hope the Zedworld legendary work continues when Jeff and the team leave for the sunnier climate. I'm sure it will but 'man', they are big shoes to fill. Great advice, great help, great result....brilliant!

 

Suddenly, a 2000 mile round trip to Portugal and back doesn't seem that bad!!
