It appears i am going to need a new engine for my girl. There is so much wrong with it since the engine fire it pretty much would need a complete engine rebuild!

Firstly anyone got an engine for sale?

Anyone got any turbos for sale?

Or does anyone know of a reliable source i can go to to get an engine?

Also how much would i pay for a engine?

How much would i pay for a set or turbos?

What about the likes of mark derby? He's breaking some cars and might have an engine with turbos etc

I have all the rare bits you can't find :tongue:

Are you fitting it yourself? Gonzo had a pair of tubs in the for sale section recently, £150 which seems pretty normal for tubs in gwo. If you get Jeff to do it you'll get piece of mind it will be tip top when you pick it up so it's definitely worth considering imo

That's what I'd do mate....

....I hope you get your car sorted though; it's a shame not to fixe a fine ZX like that.

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

get some photos up of your engine bay and details pics of the engine its self ..

i know it may look really bad now but normally a fire will not wreck an engine to the point its not useable ...

going by what u said that the fire was put out quit quickly

i do have some turbos and parts of engines but nothing built

Hi mate

if u pm 300zedx I have an engine with tubs on it in a car outside my house.

I think he wants to sell if that helps.

u can hear it run etc.

the shell I bought off him im keeping engine from that and his having engine out my old zed.

im reshelling my car so the engine in the shell im keeping so dont have to take both engines out so quick.

As Mark says, the engine surely is still good unless there was a problem before hand, worst case is the tub seals and some pipes you can't see may have been affected.

Is this verdict as a result of getting it up to Jeff's, or is the motor not playing ball at all now?

I may be persuded to sell a good motor with recon tubs .....i bought another zed for bits but dont really need the engine as i have mine sorted now. PM me:winkiss:

Nick, read your pm mate, your engine is not the issue, its the turbo seals, if you want help fitting either a replacement engine or turbo's then im happy to help, plus sean might let us use his garage, as he has crane, ramps etc.

Don't mind getting my mits a bit oily, if you need another pair to help...might psych me up to crack on with my engine change..lol
