Ok, swapped my rims back to the 18" 350z set that was on prior to me buying my zed.

Still toying with the idea of painting them though.....

Had a mess about on photoshop with black and with gold, any thoughts/choices as to what looks best?

Chucked a standard one in as well so u can see what they're like now silver.....

I know gold is a bit 'old school' but I kinda like it (prob being an old git!)

The black photoshop is a bit ropey but I rushed them over a brew this morning.....u get a rough idea though

Cheers Joel. They're in pretty decent nick already (not mint, but still quite tidy) so not crying out for a paint/refurb; just not too sure. I must admit though, when I stuck em on last week I thought 'yeah, they'll do just like that'

anthracite centres and a polished rim is my favourite on a red car!

but of those wheels without the lip, silver is good i reckon.

cheers lads, appreciate your thoughts.....looking like 'if-it-aint-broke-don't-fix-it' then, so far

Black on a red car has been done to death, silver goes with pretty much anything, gold looks good but not many people like it, though i do. depending on style of wheel and color of car they are mounted on.

I think the gold look good on your car, BUT the standard silver looks slightly better in this instance, as the gold doesn't really go well with the red of the car.

Though its ultimately down to you.

I hear u brother......to be fair the shade of gold was a quick cobble up on Photoshop with yellow, orange & red; would prob want it a shade or two darker than that.....there was just something about the red with gold wheels look that appealed to me. Reminds me of an old sports car but can't think what.... Must be my flashbacks to the 80's or something! Like u say, it's all about individuality really....one mans meat is another mans poison.......I'll probably keep em silver (save on a load of work n mither too) and consider a change when I've got a bit tired of the look...

Id go Anthracite or gunmetal :euro:

Cheers Ian, that's coming a close second to the silver now and it wasn't even on the list!

Leave them silver mate, gold on red doesn't work imoh, you need a cherry red in the red range, it requires a dark colour to pull it off the same applies to bronze to a certain extent. Black as said has been done to death, and you need a really really good finish to make it look right, coupled with the correct style of wheel. Personally with the colour of your car and the design of the wheel the stock silver colour keeps a good theme, it makes them look as if they should be there.
