Series 1 bumpers, mine have a dopple effect finish rather than a smooth finish on the lower part. Is this the same on all series 1 bumpers?

 

The reason I ask is that I am looking to tidy up the front bumper (smooth it over etc) and don't wanna waste time trying to smooth the lower half if I can find one already like that.

You will only find one smoothed off if its been done already by someone else. smooth away dear feller.

All mine are smooth but factory is bubbly,

Damn! Don't want the hassle of doing it myself!

rera will be the same, the sills are stonechip, unless its been removed, easiest way is to get an aftermarket front bumper they don't have them.

I'd only be keen on aftermarket if it was the same/simiar to original.

I'm thinking maybe go with a Stillen style lower lip/spoiler set up that covers it.

99spec gen or copy doesnt have it, and its still a OEM part.

Takes years off the car when you go smooth mate. A stillen type III will cover the front one and would look very nice too :thumbup1:

Is yours an non turbo Dave? I have a Stillen lip for sale, needs a minor repair but cheap enough for a genuine lip!!
