Return Z to the UK - Specialist Garage Recommendations.

So after leaving circa 2007, for Belgium and Japan, and spending most of this time without my Z. I have decided, the snow is finally melting, the road-salt is gone, and I want to bring the Z back on the road this summer.

The Z has been standing, but occasionally used in this time, and after firing her up recently there is nothing wrong, a local Z specialist changed what was necessary for Belgian MOT (pads/ and a water hose mainly) but there is nothing really wrong. On the RR she is just down a bit on power, suspecting safety boost, but there is a mix of old fuel in there....

I have given up the legislation fight of fitting Belgian plates, so I will stick with UK plates.

I will be looking to trailer her back to the UK in the next few weeks and I'm looking for recommendations for a trusted Z specialist that can thoroughly check over, find out the power issue, and re MOT.

A lot has changed in the last 6 years, so im looking for current specialist recommendations. Anyone have any?

I had a long list of upgrades planned in 2007, and I will be also want to talk to them about those shortly too...

Bloody hell! Hello mate... I wondered where you got to, been trying to track you down and buy your wheels! How was your time away?

Jimmer @ powerzed and Jeff @ Zedworld seem to be the current forerunners of reputation, just depends where you want to travel to. It's also worth checking out turbonoz, one of our new forum traders who has a very good reputation for his work.

Thanks for the recommendations guys, i'll look into it.

Time away was good, and technically i'm still away! not planning on moving back to the UK anytime soon... but I want to get the Zed back 'legal' in the UK, its been abroad too long!

And I have regular trips to Japan these days, so picking up parts became easier ;-)
