Having broken a drive shaft on my land rover at the weekend ( having too much fun) i took the zed to work today.

 

Parked in a legitimate parking space , handbreak on, in gear

 

A van drives up, reverses into the back of my zed, shunts it forward nearly a meter, scrapes the paint off and damages the rear bumper.

 

Then he drives off ( forward then reverse again) without even stopping to look or leave any details

Am about to write an email to the company expressing my displeasure

what an ass mate, hope its not too badly damaged. seems to be a thing with zeds getting hit up the ass.

What a git! Hope only the bumper is damaged and nothing behind it. Sounds like quite a knock it took! At least you saw who did it so you have a good chance of tracking him down for a polite conversation

Hope they do the decent thing and admit liability, plus cough up on the repairs

Been watching the cctv and there is no way he didnt realise

 

Just looked up their web site and found a " message from the MD" :

Pretty sure leaving the scene of an accident is illegal, plus as you say you have CCTV footage then the driver can't really deny it!

Sorry to hear that Ian, was it the vert or the red one? Deffo get police involved, especially with the evidence to back it up ( pardon the pun)

I got an email back from the md within 5 minutes, apologising and promising to investigate and get back to me by the end of tommorow

Cheers, at first glance it looks like it might be just a paint and polish. Going to give it a good looking at tommorow, not sure if it moved the exhaust too. given how far it moved the car i,m suprised theres not more damage, maybe the car moving saved it from more

That's bad news Ian, could have been at lot worse and more difficult if you didn't see who did it! Let us know what the MD comes back with tomorrow!

Sorry to hear this Ian and hope the Company involved sorts your slicktop out and the driver of the van.

this time a big nissan 4x4 took offense to me on a slip road and four times drove into the drivers side , before driving off.

 

interestingly i discovered that a 300zx wing mirror fits exactly into a navara wheel arch

 

and i still havent found anywhere to get a replacement rear bumper from the last time
