Hi

Literally just bought a 300zx twin turbo and done a 300mile trip to get it home. I didnt notice anything at first but when i was closer to home i decided to floor it and see what the car was made of. Did about 100mph in third gear and it filled the whole road up with grey smoke!?

Im guessing this is going to be bad news .......?

Excellent m8, get used to it before you turn that boost up cause if you think it's quick now you just wait ;p no traction and all that it's lethal :) Don't forget to send me a pic or video if you track her.

No worries mate ill keep ya updated with anything

James I had one of the guys off here check over the car. He seems to be running good mate. Think smoke may have been wet Roads or condensation or something I have had no issues since. Small oil leak which I'm getting fixed today. Very happy with car. Its bloody quick like you said, scares shit out of me lol. Thanks again James. I plan to put it on a dump myself soon after I've worked out the boost controller

its not that bad is it:biggrin:

Gary Wilson you will note post 18 of my original thread was in reaction to some 1 being a bit of a divvy.

Not so rageness :nono: A member here was explaining the rules of the club as you were breaking them so there was no need for you to tell him to "sod of" Such actions will not be tolerated and consider this a verbal warning.

How is the fueling & timing controlled?

Yeah!!! So sod off....

Only joking :p

Please don't give me a warning.

hahaha, meant to say "Dyno" :P

to be fair in reflection the guy sold a GOOD car for the right money which is the bottom line!!!

when in reflection and seeing some of the things sold on here to other club members and freinds which have turned out to be sub standard or crxx in my mind is worse than saying sxx off

The response Sod off was nothing to do with being told about rules, it was in regards to being told I was talking bolox about the BHP of the car. Sod off is fairly polite considering... Furthermore some of the guys on here handed out quite a bit of negativity towards the car and my sales thread and funnily enough everything about my add was correct and Nick has bought him self a very nice under priced 300ZX. Maybe in future Gary you will see both points before you jump down some 1 elses throat.... Good day

Again dont agree with your view on that post also dont like your attitude towards a Committee member. You were given a warning which you have ignored you now have a seven day ban.

Harsh!

Not really if you look at his first thread he was welcomed and helped in that thread then he turned it into a for sale thread Medallion Man reminded him he could not sell as a registered user. He was quickly told to "sod of" by rageness. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?166631-Hey-guys-gals-New-owner-looking-for-a-bit-of-info/page2 He then got a warning here about it which would of been the end of it but he went on to break the rules again by being disrespectful to a Committee member (me) Had it been any other Committee member or Moderator the result would of been the same ie an instant 7 day ban.

I stand by the decision I made as correct and fair and would not hesitate to do it again as protecting members and staff of 300zx.co.uk is uppermost of our club.

The rules of the club are seen in our AUP many member do not read it but these are the rules which I and all of us are guided by.

Right must fly as as I am late for work this jobs pay is zero and sometimes a thankless task.

100% agree with you there Gary. The correct action under the circumstances, I'd of done the same in my day as a MOD.

It's often a difficult choice to make as to quite how far you can let someone go before making the ban, no matter how long the ban is, but at the end of the day the rules are the rules. I've seen it many a time in the past where a sale has gone 'pete-tongue' for whatever reason and the agreaved isn't happy, whether it be the buyer or the seller, and normally it would be best sorted out with the assistance of the clubs traders liasion, but in this case it's a sale completely outside of the club so any potential problems should be dealt with by both parties only. Obviously advice can be obtained from other members, after all that's what we're here for, and I indeed tried to offer some advice myself.

Either way I hope the new owner manages to have it all sorted out and enjoys his new purchase and the club for many years to come.

I'm going to have great fun with the car. And everyone on here has been really helpful to me. Especially Sussex STU who went out his way to have a look at the car for me. Thanks to all.

See especially Sussex Stu, im quite a helpful lad sometimes, nice to see your zed parked next to mine in the local garage, not a bad garage, car wise at the mo. in there, 2 x TT manual zeds, both 94's. a V6 clio, and a supercharged 4.6hse ranger rover, and a 2.5 vectra, was only on monday it would have also been a tvr cerberra and a pimped and super low fiat 500.

Hopefully mine is due out to tear up the roads of sussex on saturday will all new sills and other bits.
