Well I spoke to Noel, and.............with a new engine not bedded in yet so low compression across all 6 cylinders of 122 psi ish she pushed out 543 bhp at only 1.2 bar , noz said when the compression is right 180 psi I should be seeing 600 bhp

Sir charles 1 bhp out .....pm me your address mate ....

I'm sure noz will be on later to varify the figure , massive thanks to Noel whos patience knows no bounds

I know Drax 2 bhp out and you missed it by 1 bhp .....how close do you have to be eh :)

Spoke to noel last night, the 543 was at just over 1.1 bar ...so lots more to come if I want it ....Noz said he would pst up the dyno sheet for us when he gets a mo ,

Looking forward to getting my zed home, putting some miles on her and seeing if the rings have bedded in or if it needs re honing ,

good result but sorry to hear about the compression numbers. Can't see that resolving itself to be honest

Not sure what's happened mate to be honest , either the machining wasnt correct or the running in was incorrect ,... looks like an engine out job again though doesnt it :(

Jimmer thinks the miles may be too low.

either the machining wasnt correct or the running in was incorrect

Would think thats unlikely, here are the guys who did the engineering work:

Hi bud , it was stalling constantly and not running as smooths it should and the exhaust sooted up very quickly, but it starts first turn of the key, just wasn't as it should have been

Noel has had some issues he has had to sort out , only firing on 5 massive over fuelling, rough uneven idle , stalling at junctions ,roundabouts etc so he has had his work cut out

I'd expect that the bores are glazed due to the overfuelling.

What oil was used for running in?

Mineral 10 40, car never returned for oil change as engine only done a little over 100 miles in the year and a bit since the build due to Steve working abroad.
