teins front and back fitting

Featured Replies

Hi

anyone found any problems fitting new shocks, might be a job for jeff

Do you mean fitting new non Tein shocks with the Tein springs and top mounts ? of so provided they match up in piston and body length they should be ok.

:s if you simply mean replacing the damper as a complete assembly its piss easy on a zed and will take you about an hour with a cup of tea and casual approach.

hi

I have complete ra teins from a skyline to replace the standard shocks that I brought of gonzo last year, somebody told me I might need to shave a bit off on the top of the shock.

Might be lacking in the casual approach be ok with the tea

cheers

oh you didn't mention that part.....the top mounts are round a believe instead of the oval shape used on the z32.

dunno haven't done it myself, and without having them infront of me I couldn't possibly say. It may be that you can undo the top plate and swap them over, which would mean compressing the spring for safety reasons, it might involve cutting down the plate.

If you cba to piss about with them we could as lways swap, ive got a set of bilstiens with are lower than stock but fixed so no adjustable, they do fit though cos theyre on the car...
